Lemon

Lemon is antiseptic, refreshing and strengthens the nervous system and the circulation.  Regulates the acid-alkali balance and can therefore prevent overweight.  Good for cellulite. Has a cleansing effect on the blood and is therefore effective against spotty skin and acne.  It expels depression and indecision, calms and opens up the heart.

Lavender
Lavender is the universal substance of essential oils.  Its scent is fresh, gentle, flowery and herby.  It recreates balance in all systems of the body. It is anti-depressant, antiseptic, redresses the natural balance, calming and relaxing.

Lecithin
Stems from phospholipids which are fatty acids found in all living cells and which constitutes the basic substance of the cell membrane.  Lecithin is found in egg, soya beans, thistle, almond and sesame oil.  Lecithin is good for your skin as it is very moisture retentive and fortifying.

Lime
The lime tree belongs to Asia, like all other citrus trees.  Later it was brought to Spain and from there to South America.  It has a slightly sweet and lemon-like scent.  Rich in Vitamin C and thereby strengthens the immune system.  Reduces oiliness and acne in the skin as well as being effective against herpes, insect stings and cuts.  Soothes anxiety and depression.

Loofah
Loofah comes from the dried natural loofah sponge.  It is finely ground and is a wonderfully mild peeling substance for the whole body.

Ladies Mantle
Also known as alchimilla vulgaris and, according to Greek mythology, the plant emerged from Venus’ tears. It is particularly good as far as circulation problems are concerned, fortifies the capillaries and heals bruises.

Lanolin
Lanolin is purified wool fat. It is an emulsifier which can be used on the skin and gives it a natural consistency.  It protects, nourishes and moisturises exposes parts of the skin.
